I’m currently about one week in to a Facebook break, which has been more refreshing than I thought it would be. I do really miss seeing what everyone is up to, but for now, this break is the right thing. I do know, though, that a few people have wondered what we’re up to and have missed seeing our everyday photos, so I thought I’d catch up a little bit here.
Since we started homeschooling, there is no shortage of whiteboards in our home, and they are used for everything from math problems to diagramming sentences, to personal brainstorming. I wanted to catch this shot of L. doing some brainstorming for a game he’s creating… but then I noticed our strange little photobomber in the background. 🙂
The local park installed a new zipline recently, and Thursday was L.’s first chance to give it a try. As you can see, he liked it a little.
Friday marked the end of our first quarter in this homeschool year, so we celebrated with breakfast out! Chocolate Chip Pancakes at a local bakery really hit the spot. (Photographer’s note: the mixed light was horrible here, and there were strange reflections in his eyes, but sometimes commemorating the moment is the most important thing!)
Also Friday: a long-overdue haircut which made him suddenly look about 3 years older.
I did a few pictures for one of Cam’s very good friends on Friday, and convinced them to let me get a shot of the two of them together. What you don’t see is the twelve or so pictures before this when they were making goofy faces. I just wanted ONE good one…glad I got it. 🙂
In homeschooling this week, Charlie keeps an eye on L.’s diagramming work. Charlie loves the whiteboards for some reason, and any time someone is writing on one, he has to check it out.
Just a quiet nap on the couch.
These two are not very helpful when it comes to killing bugs in the house. But they ARE really good at staring at the aforementioned insects.
Cats on steps.
Round two of senior photos for Cam last night. Emily came along with us and we did a couple shots of the two of them together. Pretty cute couple, I’d say.
